WHY SHOULD I PURCHASE A HOPPER ELEVATOR

The need for automation in production lines sometimes brings on the need to place bowl feeders at a considerable height, to have an optimal level of parts to be able to work continuously and to have a balanced load, which implies the use of load elevators.

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR ELEVATORS

The elevators with belt or metal slat band chain receive the parts in bulk and channel them to the selection unit (vibratory bowl feeder) which is supplied through discrete direct unloading thanks to a level control fitted in the bowl, to position the parts.

In our implementations, we mostly use these equipment units for the autonomy function of the Feeding System, as an alternative to manually loading parts into the circular vibrators and also to avoid overloading the vibratory bowl feeder, since that would hinder its optimal operation.

DIFFERENT USES AND OPTIONS

The transport element of the hopper elevator works with several options, which can be a synthetic belt or a slat-band chain, with ribs or closed receptacles.

On the other hand, the driving element is an electric motor which, associated to a reducer, transmits the desired revolutions to the roller, drive sleeve or driving pinion, which drives the corresponding belts or slat-band chain, transporting on it the required parts.

DIMENSIONS OF ELEVATORS

In so far as the length and width of the elevator, these are defined by the dimension of the parts to be transported and by our clients’ needs.

CHASSIS

The standard chassis is made of stainless steel and its widths or useful working space can range between 250 mm to 550 mm. Its length and inclination will depend on the required unloading height and the available space. Likewise, the diameter of the standard drive sleeve is 90 mm and the pinions or worm gears may range between 120 and 150 mm based on the chain or hinge used.

BELT

Both the belt and the slat-band chain come with ribs or welded profiles for dragging the parts along the sloped plane of the elevator.

MODELS OF HOPPER ELEVATOR

We have several elevator models with inclination on vertical or horizontal planes. The most operational version, as well as the angle of elevation and the capacity of the hopper, are defined in terms of the problems inherent to the part, the requirements of the application and the available space.

By using elevators can comply with ergonomics requirements in productive processes since the height of the hopper element cannot exceed the limits of 900/1,000 mm, for reloading the parts into said hopper.

For applications in the food industry, pharmaceutical laboratories or clinical material, solutions can be provided with materials that comply with FDA regulations, using, for example, anodised aluminium or stainless steel.

We manufacture elevators with special designs that allow easy movement by means of wheels and feet that are adjustable in height to adapt to the production requirements.

The TAD elevators provide reliability, quality and profitability, with a nearly unlimited useful life.
